Heritage Partners with Gertrude’s Hospital to Improve Health Access

With an aim to improve access to health in the country, Heritage Insurance joined other likeminded organisations in supporting the 27th Gertrude's Hospital Foundation charity golf tournament.

The tournament which brings together leading corporate organisations aims at raising funds that go towards the treatment and rehabilitation of children affected by various ailments.

This year’s competition will raise funds to screen, treat and manage children with hearing impairment.

Speaking during a cheque presentation ceremony, Heritage Insurance Director for Underwriting and Claims, Beatrice Hiuhu affirmed the company's focus in partnering with other organisations in areas that make real impact among families.

"Heritage Insurance has over the years partnered with Gertrude’s Foundation because we identify with the numerous social activities that benefit the health of children. Our own belief is that a healthy nation builds a strong nation", said Hiuhu.

Gertrude's Foundation Manager Dr. Caroline Waweru noted that the foundation aims to involve as many organisations as possible to carry out its activities especially in health and education.

Our goal this year is to provide treatment to more than 5,000 needy and disadvantaged children, who are located in hard to reach areas and children's homes in various parts of the country, and rely on our free services at the main hospital, our outreach clinics and medical camps.
